This is a 1962 ford Galaxie 2dr. hardtop I bought this car almost 20 years ago from My good friend Dennis. I never drove it. Dennis his farther and grand father all worked for Ford in the 50,s 60,s and 70,s in Detroit. Dennis bought this car from a fellow workmate and friend in 63. Dennis dated his wife with this car. A lot of the fellow workmates gave the original owner a hard time. Why didn,t you get the 4 speed, the aluminum intake, etc. etc. etc. So he bought those parts and many more right from ford. then Dennis bought the car and I eventually bought it from him. IT,S NO ONES FAULT BUT MINE THAT THE CAR DETAIROATED I never started the re-conditioning process. It,s a real shame but I can not change any of that know. The car has the original 390 and factory 3-speed std. trans. I pulled the valve covers to have a look see. the valve train is spotless No grime or sludge (in photo). the car starts yard drives, stops. I ran it with a bottle of gas. the tank will need to pulled and flushed. As you see it will need panel replacement and body rust repair. At one time I rattle caned white primer on spots. A lot of good it did. I have a list of ford parts that come with the car. Including the factory borg warner T-10 4 speed and factory shifter, A t-85 borg warner 3-speed overdrive that was taken apart to be refreshed looks like it,s all there. No broken gears. (harder to get than 4-speeds) Also a factory air condition unit out of a 62 Galaxie 390. I had the evaporator cover re chromed many years ago. just now took the plastic cover off for photo. The key will not open trunk, I will not punch out lock. I do not know whats in there. The speedo shows 29,864 miles. I have no idea if that is accurate. the title I got from dennis in 1991 shows 7,752 miles. ebay makes you post the miles. the radio works. here is a list of parts that come with the car. I did not list all but there are unique to the car. I.E. body clips, rubber bumper Gard tip, interior trim,day night mirror, etc. Factory aluminum intake and holley carb. Factory borg warner t-10 4-speed with factory shifter. Factory borg warner t-85 overdrive. Factory air condition unit. M/T valve covers. factory chrome thunderbird valve covers. factory power brake booster. factory expansion tank. gasket set and gaskets. brake kits. carb kits. headlight rim new. weather strips and seals. starters, generator, motor mounts, trans mount plus a bunch of other related parts. to get it running for sale I installed new points,cod.,fuel pump, carb. rebuild for the motorcraft oil and filter change two times. to be picked up at my location. will help in anyway I can to help load for you or your transporter. it,s not a fire sale but it,s TIME for it to move on. I hope a younger and more energetic guy can renew this car.
