1966 ½ AMC Rambler Rogue 290 4 speed AMC fans take a look at this. Reasonable Rides and Rods presents this very rare 66 ½ AMC Rambler Rogue. This solid little car has the original numbers matching 290 and 4 speed transmission. This Rambler is equipped with power steering and power brakes. This Rambler has an exceptionally clean body, floor, and trunk. As you can see from the pictures, the pans were never undercoated, and still survived all of these years in great condition. The original interior for the car is long gone, and as you can see, the current interior is fairly sparse. I think that the seats that are in the car are from a Dodge Neon. We do have some interior pieces in a box, but the buyer will need to decide how to proceed from here. We have a back seat that just isn’t installed in the car. The exterior is in primer to protect the metal, but the car really deserves to be stripped and painted to bring it back to its glory. There is some very minor filler in the car in some places, but all of the original panels are in place with the exception of the left front fender, hood and trunk lid, which were replaced with metal from another car. We have all of the exterior trim for the car. The glass in the car is in really good condition, and the windows all roll up and down as they should. The original 290 runs fairly well, and the 4 speed transmission works as it should. The original Corporate 20 rear end is still there. I have no idea if the 290 was ever rebuilt, but it doesn’t smoke or leak anything. While the car does run and drive, I wouldn’t drive it too far. The brakes are fairly weak and the front suspension probably should be rebuilt. The headlight and tail lights work, but the turn signals don’t work. The wipers work, but will need to wiper arms. We have driven it around the block, but that is about it. As a bonus, the car is equipped with new 15 inch Cragar wheels and new BF Goodrich TA radials all around. Overall, this is a very solid little car that needs a restoration to be really nice. We have a clear Texas title to the car, but it is not inspected or registered. I have included two pictures of the trim that will be included with the car. The trim that goes in the rear around the tail lights is there as well, although not pictured. I could only include two pictures, since that is all that I had left for the listing. It looks like most of it is there.
