Up for auction is a 1978 International Scout II. This is an automatic transmission 304 V8, with 4 wheel drive. The mechanical condition of the engine is unknown. I haven't had the opportunity to work on it--previous owner had used for plow vehicle. I believe engine would run with a little TLC. I did notice that the oil dipstick tube is loose in the oil pan. The front bumper is missing. The body has had prior repairs. The passenger fender is bad--I can include another one that is better than one on vehicle. The frame will need repair at the very front, where shackles mount. It looks like salt rusted through frame. It seems to be confined to the last 5" of frame and more so on the passenger side. The doors and fenders have some body filler in them. The driver's side endcap needs replacing--it is dented (see photo). The dent could possibly be pulled out to for some improvement. The tires have about 50% tread with light dry rot. Scout comes with full set of hubcaps that are in really nice shape. The Scout has an aftermarket gas tank, which looks to be in good condition. The interior seats are good--better than most. The tan front bench seat is a 70/30 split and the rear bench seat folds in half. The front seat has a rip at the driver's side (see photo). Inside door panels are in good shape. Odometer shows 99,352 miles, which I was told are original. The dash, dash pad, and steering wheel are in excellent condition. The roof, overall, looks very good. Does have rust through at both back corners. The headliner is intact and in good condition--just needs cleaning. I will supply the outside driver's door trim that is missing from photo. I have clear PA title. This Scout would be an excellent candidate for restoration.
