1973 Jeep Commando. 258/straight 6, manual trans and locking hub four wheel drive, mostly stock. Runs strong and is solid inside and out. This buggy has been well maintained and has had a roof over it's head for at least the last twenty years. I have owned since 2001 and have never driven it in the rain, or even on wet pavement. I bought from my brother in law in Fla (trailered north) and know he treated it very well for the 10 or so years he owned it. Engine strong, lights work, no drips, all glass is intact with no cracks. Split bench front, bench rear seat w/ belts. Upholstery is good except for seam tear in rear (visible in picture) . Rust, if any, in minor spots only. Had fuel tank refurbished in 2006 with Gas Tank RenU USA by Looper's (see Hemmings Magazine/garage tech feature article, March 2003), as well as new sending unit, pan and gasket. Was repainted in about 1998 following rocker panel professional restoration. Paint has held up very well. I have, and will include soft top w/hardware and a few extras picked up along the way (hubcap, hood hinge w/spring, right side wing window assembly, cloth seat covers (front & rear), Jeep 1973 Technical Service Manual, Chilton's repair & tuning guide / Jeep '57-'86, and a few odds and ends hiding in the bottom of the box. Drivers side door handle is a little loose, but the door closes and stays as it should (I open from the inside handle). I have always enjoyed this chariot but it's time to let it go (wife wants her garage space back). It's a head turner that you will really enjoy. Keep it stock, or trick it out.
