1987 Honda CR

Up for sale is my 1987 Honda CR 500R. I've been working on bikes since I was 6 so I know my way around the shop. I recently rebuilt both the top and bottom end with new seals, bearings, cylinder rebore, oversize piston, ports chamfer. It's got 5 hours on the "new" engine with a proper break in so it's ready to ride. The bike has an after market pro circuit exhaust pipe and muffler. Renthal Gold Chain, Moose racing sprockets, has a steely offroad flywheel weight to smooth the power range, and it also has a new clutch cable. Why am I selling it? Because it is too much bike for me and my location. I'm in college and I don't get the chance to ride it to it's potential as much as I'd like. That and the campus security here knows me by name and sound! I've had my fun scaring the crap out of myself on and it's time for another to experience the thrill. This thing will wheelie in any gear. Like most 500's you need to know the startup ritual and have a strong leg. I can start it first kick every time. Forums tell me that the 87 had the strongest pulling motor and I don't doubt it. It has a good back tire on it with about 85% tread left. I have a spare front tire for it although the one on it is fine. The paint has normal signs of wear by your boots.
