2008 Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor Item Description Up for auction is this very rare Police Interceptor. This car is equiped mechanically with all the expected performance equipment you'd expect with a Police Interceptor yet not the typical "fleet" feeling you'd get from driving one. This cruiser was likely issued to a supervisor or Parole, something not requiring a lot of hard driving but requiring an air of luxury among typical cruisers. This particular vehicle is outfitted with the civilian interior package, velor seats, front bench seat, carpeted interior, making the car an absolute dream to drive, and being remarkably comfortable at the same time. The car does indicate some minor damage on the front push bumper and slightly below, likely it ran over something, and there is a minor nick on the rear bumper, both flaws are observable in the pictures provided. I have had the vehicle completely inspected independently by two mechanics and also been underneath the vehicle and discovered that it is practically brand new. There isn't a drop of oil to be found, the breaks are in excellent condition, the car is properly aligned, etc.. There are a few typical blemishes scattered across the car but none are discoverable unless searched for. All imperfections with the vehicle are purely aesthetic. Passengers side reclining seat handle is missing and shouldn't be that hard to find, I just never bothered to hunt it down because the passengers side of the car doesn't affect my driving. There are absolutely no quirks with the car whatsoever (you DON'T have to massage the dash and flash the left turn signal to get the car to shift, though I'm sure it would if you really wanted to). Joking aside, there is honestly no car on the road built better than a Police Interceptor, Ford manufactures these cars to endure the most extreme driving situations for years and years. Interceptors are also one of the safest cars manufactured by Ford, they can be rear ended at 75mph and not puncture the gas tank. These cars are meant to last, going well over 300,000 miles, while being properly maintained and serviced. The car features an upgraded Ford radio, in addition to a very expansive trunk. It appears to originally been intended for a partition but it was never installed (as noted in pictures). Car also features an aluminum drive shaft and a rear stabilizer to keep the car level through turns. Everything on the car is fully functional including the Unity spotlights. I had a $600 Viper Remote Start & Security system installed shortly after purchasing the vehicle because there is no form of key-less entry or security, not even PATS, that comes standard on the car and that troubled me. If you don't know anything about the Viper 5701 it is something impressive, allowing you to remote start, lock & unlock your car from up to 2,000 feet away. This car truly is something spectacular, I'm averaging 15mpg city traffic and anywhere from 18-23mpg highway, depending on road conditions and how much I want to put my foot into it. Mileage is consistent but may differ because this car is my daily driver. This car has been a California car all it's life and never even taken out of the state.
