1991 Dodge Spirit R/T This ultra rare Spirit R/T drives like new. Only 1208 were made. If you are searching for this car you already know how rare and how well these cars perform. The 2.2 litre fuel injected, dual overhead cam, four values per cylinder, 5spd getrag manual transmission, with an inter-cooler turbo were the fastest production sedans produced in '1991-'1992. 6.5 seconds 0-60, 1/4 mile 14+ seconds, top speed of about 145 mph. All from a four cylinder engine (225 hp stock) which can still achieve 23 mpg city and 33 mpg highway. This particular car is so clean that it recently won first place in its class in the Arizona Morpar auto show in 2010. Car has been kept primarilly in stock condition. All options work as new. These include power windows, power door locks, power seat, cruise control, power trunk release, A/C, intermitant wipers, and the traveler monitoring system display. Interior on car is perfect, no tears or stains. Body on car is straight with no rust. Paint is in exceptional condition. Most of the car's paint is original except for the few repairs from shopping cart dings and scratches through the car's first 10 years of life. All gaskets, rubber window seals are in excellent condtion due to great maintainance and that the car was garage kept nearly its entire life. Rear deck spoiler paint is checking and chipping. Common problem among all Spirit R/Ts. Engine has re-built short block about 25,000 miles ago. Four new lifters and oil pump were replaced about 3,000 miles ago. new Firestone performance tires, new performance clutch, new belts, new hoses, new poly suspension bushings, new motor mounts, and new KYB struts/shocks. Car also features steering mounted boast guage, blends right in it, looks stock. This is a great car which is sure to become a sought after vehicle due to its rare production numbers and through the years many have been enhanced with after-market performance parts, or have found themselves wrecked wrapped around a tree by an in-experienced driver.
