Vehicle Detail
You are viewing a beautifully customized and well taken care of 1998 Dodge Ram Club Cab (2 door) 4x4 with the 12 valve Cummins Diesel. I am the 6th owner and we all have cared for it well. It has had a few bumper accidents over the years, so I upgraded them. The bumpers are FUSION Heavy Duty bumpers. They are made with 1/4" Faceplate steel, 8 Gussets, Clevis mounts and 1/4" bolt on steel mounts. The front bumper has a reciever hitch. Both have Clevis mounts, also. The stock fog lights are in the front and auxiliary lights are mounted in the rear bumper for backing up or whatever. The paint is less than a year old with a Checkered stripe around the perimeter. The bed, bumpers and lower body panels have all been Herculined. Mechanically the truck is mostly stock and doesn't consume any oil. A K&N stock replacement air filter, straight-piped exhaust ( I have the complete factory exhaust still if you want it installed, I can do it), and a slid forward stock fuel plate is all that has been done for better power, mileage and sound. I have replaced the thermostat with a 190 degree Cummins unit, front rotors and pads have been replaced, track bar and ball joints have been replaced and all fluids are synthetic. The transmission and torque converter were replaced about 40,000 miles ago in California. It was a stock replacement with valve body re-programming, manual lock-up switch and a bigger "cooling" pan installed. I have always ran Amsoil in the transmission and engine. The filter and fluid were changed when the bands were readjusted 15k miles ago. I love this truck, but the family is getting bigger and I need a "true" 4-door. My lost is your gain. This truck is originally a 2500, but has been converted to a dually. Lower insurance, better ride, more stability are the benefits. A little more about the conversion. The rear axle was replaced with a rebuilt Dana 80 DRW assembly. Both front (stock axle) and rear are matched 3.54 gears (which are factory on this truck) non-limited slip. The springs are still the 2500 ratings, but I have the 3500 springs. I may install these per request of buyer. I don't tow heavy loads often enough to require the thicker springs. I was going to install airbags in it, if I had to. The 2500 springs are a little more forgiving for the ride. The front wheel adapters were professionally machined factory units to accept the stock 2500 bearing flange. The bearing units are the same for the 2500 and 3500. The flange pilot has a smaller diameter on the 3500 bearing assemblies. As for the interior, everything is in great condition except for the driver side seat and steering wheel. I have a cover on the steering wheel which does fine. I have installed gauges for transmission temperature, boost, exhaust temperature and fuel pressure. The autometers had failed, so I have been replacing them with Japanese gauges that can change colors and have a better warranty than Autometers gauges. The stereo is an older Pioneer Cd Player that works good still. Everthing else is stock. A couple of important notes. I am willing to delivery the truck within so many miles or so from my location, depending on my schedule. Ask me more about this via email. I will not arrange shipping, shipping details or vehicle inspections. I am very busy with work, school and family. Sorry. If you have any more questions or would like more pictures, feel free to send me a message. Thanks and happy bidding!
