Up for auction is my 82 rabbit pickup. I bought this from my friend out in Nevada. It's a rust free southwest truck. It is a bit dirty yet from the desert. Has that grey/brown dust on it. I put a turbo diesel out of a 86 Jetta in the truck.The transmission is the oem to the turbo diesel. I had a local machine shop do the engine work. The engine has new pistons,rings,bearings,seals, water pump, alternator,glow plugs,injectors, and timing belt. I installed a stock new clutch and pressure plate. The flywheel was turned at the machine shop. The turbo is brand new, not rebuilt. The injection pump was rebuilt by giles in Canada. He does great work and really knows his diesels. The pump was turned up 10 hp from 70 to 80 hp. The truck is pretty much stock. I installed new poly bushings and a-arms.There are new shifter linkages on the transmission. The radiator is new.The truck has new driveshafts. I did add seats from a Corrado for comfort. The truck has newer carpet, GTI snowflake rims and I relocated the fuel filter underneath next to the fuel tank. The dash has no cracks. The engine starts and runs excellent. I have put a lot of money in it and have other projects and school. It does need a stereo, I never got the time to put on in. The cover is not on the timing belt in the pictures. I have the timing belt cover and will include it. I used a high flow K&N filter. I am sure I forgot something , it's been a garage queen. I have over $6000 into the truck. The reserve is set at $5000. The engine has less than 100 miles on it since overhaul. I take my Ford truck to work, I don't want the Vw to get beat up on the job sites. The truck is up north in the garage, I have to get the VIN yet. I had the engine block media blasted and painted orange.
