This is a 1971 volkwagon karmann ghia coupe. Till a few months ago this car has sat in a garage for 15 years. It has the good IRS 4 speed trans axle, all gears shift up and down smooth and works just as it should. The clutch is new. The motor has been rebuilt and installed it is a dual port 1641cc running headers and glass pack. I have well over a $1000 just in the motor. It is hopped up some runs strong and sounds good. It is now running with an alternator instead of the original generator and has a good battery installed. It has a good disk brake front end much better than the drum brake models. The brake master cylinder has been replace as well the reservoir hoses, new steering parts and many others. Has the california front and rear windshield rubber installed. The body is solid has a few rust spots in need of reapair the car drives good will need some body work to rockers, lower rear quarters and front end. Has a regular bumper in back and t-bars in front. The interior will need headliner, some carpet, seats replaced or recovered. The floors have some rust but overall still solid. It has a nice custom steering wheel and roller gas peddal and the dash had been redone nice. Needs driver door glass. The gas tank has been flushed and all dash guages work. The tires all match 165r15 and have about 30 to 40% tread left. This is getting to be a very rare find this is a very good year car to restore. It now runs and drives so on it's way to being a nice fun project. I am only reason selling so cheap is that a family member is terminally ill and i am to busy with that right now to finish this car.
