Vehicle Detail
1969 Dodge Super Bee project car: NO RESERVE Hardtop, 4spd, F6 Bright Green, factory side scoop, manual steering, no A/C, bench seat car. (comes with bucket seats!) Fairly rare in that it's a special order F6 car with side scoops and 4spd. Super cool! You can see the original bright green paint in the pix. It's original. But it does have a nasty yellow 70s paint scheme on the quarters along with primer and rust in other spots. No motor, tranny, build sheet, fender tag or title. Titles can be had from your local DMV or by arranging for a new title through an online service. Not a difficult process. This car has been off the road for at least 10 years so a title won't show up on a title search. It's a real WM23H car so it's a real Super Bee and the VIN matches number on radiator support. I did some research on VIN by comparing it to other Lynch Road cars. Not an exact science, but sequence compared to others confirms it was built in middle to late May. Which goes along with the bright green paint which was only available late in the 69 model year. Comes with a great list of parts including quarter panel skins, trunk pans, floor pans, trunk extensions, outer wheel houses and a BUNCH of other parts. Solid frame rails (undercoat car), some rusty sheet metal. Please read on and see what you get with this deal. What you're getting is a project car with lots of sheet metal and a lot of quality parts to help with the resto. I have a ton of pix, too many too post here. Contact me and I can send you all the pix I have. Here's what comes with the car: - Quarter panel skins - Outer wheel houses - Two piece trunk pan - Trunk extensions - floor pans, 3/4 length - N96 (ramcharger) hood - Exc. condition. No dents, just a little surface rust. Nicest one I have seen. Expensive! - Repop hood scoops - Bucket seat cores - correct style with headrests (headrests not included) - Bucket seat rails - nice, not rusty - Dash pads (2) for non a/c cars, exc. condition - Glove box - exc. condition - Ralley dash instrument cluster (no cracks that I saw, needs cleaned up) and cluster frame - Dash wiring harnesses (2) one has been cut just a little, other appears complete and good shape - Speedo, oil, temp, alt guages, mint washer switch, Exc. condition flasher switch - Steering column bearings - upper AND lower - Steering column jacket, hanger and other mounting hardware - all exc. - Hood latch - 10 lb box of original 69 B-body fasteners - Grille and headlight buckets (buckets real nice, grill not broken needs cleaning - 22 inch radiator. May need refurbished - Hood hinges. Good shape - Rivots - brand new and correct - to mount your ramcharger assy to the hood - 4 spd crossmember - Windshield trim - A pillar trim - C pillar (sail panel) trim - Headliner bows - 3 spd wiper motor core - Rear interior upper panels - Heater box gasket set - brand new - Brake, door handle, drip rail, electrical bulkhead and a bunch of other brand new gaskets - NOS cutch fork boot - Driver side door jamb patch. Jamb has typical rust and had been crappily repaired. This patch is perfect. - NOS trunk lock and key set - And probably some more parts I'm not remembering. All parts I have for the car are good quality ready for resto parts. Add up the price of these items and you'll be shocked at how low the price is on this car. Description Has rust in lower quarters, outer wheel lips, trunk extensions, some in the trunk floor. Floor pans have been cut out up front where the only floor rust was. I looked inside the frame rails and they are excellent. This was an undercoat car so rails and rear bumper area are clean and solid. Some rust around rear window corners - patches are available on ebay. Some rust in lower rear rockers, but not much. Inner fenders have some rot towards the rear, but spring areas appear to be fine. Car is an original 4spd. Was converted to auto. 4spd pedals still in car. Comes with original 4 spd hump or you can buy a new one. Rear end is still in the car. I was told it was the original. Looks to be but wasn't able to scrape off the grime to get a #. Floor pans, trunk pans These had been sitting outside with the car and had surface rust with some minor pitting on SOME of the metal, not all. Bottom of floor pans and bottom of trunk pans were perfect with no surface rust. It was just the tops that had some areas. So I spent plenty of time thoroughly sanding them down, neutralized any remaining rust with Eastwood Fast Etch and Picklex 20. I had some USC All Metal filler so I filled some stray pits. Worked well. Any remaining pits I would just spray extra thick with epoxy primer. Easiest way. Just spray and sand. I also then srayed them with Eastwood Rust Encapsulator just to be sure all was good. That paint is compatible with all primers. The metal is good to go and ready to install. So there, now you know for sure that the sheet metal has been cleaned and protected and you know what you're getting. Rest of car - Driver side door jamb needs jamb area replaced. Perfect patch comes with car, or buy the new easy to install patch they now sell. - Rear window corners need some filling or patching. - Rear panel and bumper area is super solid. No rust. - Frame rails are great. I didn't see anything. I scraped some of the undercoat off and found solid steel. - Tops of quarters have some pitting. - Quarter to roof seams are good. This was a vinyl top car, but the seams are great - Roof appears fine. No issues - Fenders need work. One has dog leg rust, other has quarter size hole by antenna. Can be fixed. These have some thick bondo and I have not stripped them. So I am reporting what I can see. - Trunk gutters appear to be good - front sway bar is on car - 4 spd pedals are still mounted in the car What DOES NOT come with car - no rear seat - no motor or tranny - Anything not listed as coming with the car. I've tried my best to supply the winner with enough parts to hit the ground running. Some additional parts I have that I will make a deal on if the winner wants but ARE NOT INCLUDED WITH THIS AUCTION - side scoops, I have an original mint set with all mounting studs - NOS panel dimmer - Console brackets, bucket seat brackets, console harness, console harness feed - Hurst shifter mechanism, needs rebuild probably but appears very nice - 69 B-body door locks and ignition with matched set of keys. Might be NOS, if not, super nice - Probably some more stuff Just expect a car that needs work, but you're way ahead with all the parts you get with this deal. Questions Any questions, please ask. I'm not trying to pull anything over on anyone. I have more pix of parts and car that I can send. Contact me if needed. Payment $500 due withing 72 hrs of auction close via paypal. Remaining balance due within 10 days via Postal Money order. Returns There aren't any. With this price and with what you get, once you buy, it's yours. Be prepared to do some work, but also be prepared to have a sweet car when done. Pick Up Car can be picked up the week after Thanksgiving. So no worries about dealing with it over the holidays. You MUST make your own arrangements. Car does roll and steer and it's easy access to pick it up. Just wench it up on a trailer and get'er gone. Car needs to be picked the weekend after Thanksgiving though.
