All mechanical work has been performed by the Japan - Honda Factory Trained Mechanic - Chris Vandervoort. Chris was also one of the mechanics for Miguel Duhamel's - Honda Racing Team. Currently the owner of Cycle Tune in Portland, Oregon http://www.cycletunepdx.com/ The OEM re-painting was done by Kevin Miller Painting http://www.millerpaintandgraphics.com/ Now with that said a little history of what has been done. I bought the bike from the 2nd owner who last rode it in 1981 when the plates expired. It was parked in a heated garage under a blanket from 1981 until I bought it. I had been looking for a 1974 Honda CB-350-F in the brown metalic like I owned in high school but, after 3 years of searching, I ehded up buying this 1973. Wouldn't you know it - half way through this project I find in perfect condition a 1974 Brown CB-350-F with 5K miles and with the stock 4 into 4 exhaust system in perfect condition and bought it for only $5,800.00. I continued with this project as if I was going to keep and ride this bike because I wanted it done right and I wanted end up with a CB-350-F that could be ridden ANyWHERE without mechanical concerns. The OEM exhaust pipes were rusted & the carbs need to be rebuilt. The engine had the classic oil seepage at the left head gasket that 9 out of 10 of these models have. All body work was removed to be repainted back to it's OEM condition incliding decals. The pipes were removed to be replaced with a brand new high quality - period correct - 4 into 2 system. The carbs were removed to be rebuilt. At this point it was decided to remove the heads to put in new gaskets to stop the oil seepage issue. Then at that point Chris Vandervoort said what the hell . . . and pulled off the cylinders barrels and had them honed out and install all new piston ring sets. The valves & seats were also cleaned up but were in excellent shape. If you want a Honda CB-350-F Four that not only looks great but you can ride with confidence - this is it! I am into this bike in excess of $5,500 with NO value given for my time put into the project. The reserve is well - - well below that number. But don't ask me what the reserve is. Below is a list of everything that was done or replaced - NOT in the order performed - - New Battery - Battery tender hook-up installed - Fuel Petcock rebuilt - Front forks and seals rebuilt & new fuilds - New four into two exhaust system installed with all new gaskets & fastners - New throttle cable - New front fork refectors - New center stand springs - New headlight and chrome headlight ring - New OEM handgrips - New set rearview mirrows - Rebuilt front brakes - new brake pads - new fuild flush - Replaced all dash lights / turn signals lights / tail lights - Carbs rebuilt with all Honda OEM parts & Synchronization & new fuel lines - New insulators and clamps between the carbs and the motor - New piston ring sets - upper gaskets - valve seat cleaning & set - New Tires / tubes/ rim bands both front and rear - New chain & spockets - New rear brakes - Gas tank professionally cleaned & sealed with POR-15 prior to painting - Front & rear spokes checked and adjusted Now if you have any questions not covered please ask away :-) and thank you for reading all of this.
