Up for auction is my 1998 BMW 318i.. Here's the deal- About a month or so ago, she started running really rough. I gave it a full tune-up (plugs, wires, coil pack, filters, etc....) Still running rough. So I took it to my mechanic and he said that cylinder number one has lost compression. So, basically, she's running on 3 cylinders. Still runs and drives just fine, but like I said, rough. I'm assuming it needs rings on the one piston. I have since purchased a new car, and really am just looking to get rid of this one. Would be a great find for someone who wants reliable transportation, especially if you have any kind of mechanical background... Not a tough fix, but like I said, I have no use for it anymore. The good- Silver on Black, and loaded... This car has everything you could have possibly gotten from BMW. Inspected till 3-11- The bad- The mechanical issues that I pointed out, and about 2 years ago I was caught in a hailstorm on my way home from work, and there is damage. Not terribly noticeable if you don't know it's there, but if you're looking for it you can see it.. Small crack in the windshield (see pic), but will pass PA inspection because it is not in your line of sight. A/C is not currently working either. The recent parts that are on this car are as follows, and all within the past 6-18 months- New- Battery Plugs Wires Coil Pack Catalytic Converter and full exhaust front to back ($3,200) Little notes about the car, the tires probably have about 40-50% life left on them, and there is a little bit of rust as you can see in the pics, but overall the car is in pretty good shape. I didn't try to make make it look like anything it's not. I didn't clean the interior, and basically just a quick wash to the outside.. This car cleans up really well if you take your time, which is something I just don't have a whole lot of lately. The bidding will start @ $1000, there is NO RESERVE. High bid wins. Just want the car gone, clear title in hand, let's make this easy.
