1973 Volkswagen Beetle, Standard (not Super Beetle) *** Someone make me a fair offer. I have no place to store it this winter. *** Built on: August 1972, so it's a very early 1973 model. Good to very good condition. Odometer reads 47k but does not work so actual mileage is unknown Factory rebuilt 1600 duel port motor ID #: 5545AD / 460863. Runs great and very strong. Transmission shifts smoothly and doesn't pop out of any gear. Clutch is good. Good tires. Good brakes. Very dependable. Interior is very presentable and in fair to good condition. Floor pans are solid. Wheel wells and spare tire well in good solid condition Very decent paint job, but as you see in the pics, it wasn't entirely finished. The car cleans up really well and looks great. All the little bits you see all over it are flowers from the tree it was sitting under, NOT chips or defects in the paint. (pics taken in July) Could use a bit of TLC, but a great daily driver as is. Driver's side heater channel has some rust. Could use a new dash pad/cover. I have a good carpet kit that will be included. I bought it last July, but now have lost my space to keep it out of the weather this winter. That's the only reason it's for sale.
