Overview: Up for sale is a 1987 928 S4 with 88,047 miles, automatic, lagoon green metallic over cashmere leather in great condition. I have personally owned this 928 since September 2003. Though I have seldom driven the car - other than to start it up and drive a few miles ensure it is in working order - I would not hesitate to enjoy the car everyday if I lived in the right area. I purchased this vehicle in September of 2003 in Meadville, PA. The vehicle was on consignment there for three months prior to my purchase. It had approximately 83,000 miles on it since I purchased it (will confirm the purchase mileage if necessary). Carfax does list one accident which I am aware of, which I will provide pictures for record. Upon delivery and inspection of the vehicle at my local dealership in 2003, a dealer-owned SUV backed into the front bumper. The damage was solely cosmetic to the front bumper and corner panel. (There was no mechanical or structural damage) Dealership fully paid for repairs (replace bumper with Porsche OEM, replaced rubber body seals, fog light, front lower spoiler.) This vehicle has never been to the track or abused during my six years of ownership. I have seldom driven it, after moving to the Pittsburgh , PA. Mechanical: Timing belt, water pump replacement, ac recharge, new front tires, and synthetic oil change done less than 500 miles ago. Oil was maintained every 1,000 miles and maintenance for the appropriate mileage has been serviced. Engine, transmission, and brakes are excellent on the car – I wouldn’t hesitate to drive it cross-country. Known electrical problems include:-cruise control-rear wiper and driver window switches (sticking)-drivers and passenger seat adjustment (sticking) Every other aspect of the vehicle is in excellent working order. (Cold AC, lights, horn, wipers, radio, door locks, dashboard indicators.) Interior Cosmetic and extras: Seats have been conditioned and restored, the interior carpet is pristine and the aftermarket mats are in excellent condition. The dash & pod are have some small cracks and slightly faded from the sun. The rear interior quarter panels have a slight shrinkage to them, but its minor, all factory tools are present as is the jack and spare but no factory Porsche airpump. The original owner’s manual is present. A Soft car cover and rain cover are included in the sale. The factory stereo has been replaced by a single-CD Clarion brand stereo. The vehicle includes Porsche 16” sport wheels. For nostalgia, I also have the Autoweek magazine from 1986 when the 928S4 was announced. (I may also have the Car & Driver from this week/year as well) The paint is original and excellent, there are a couple small scratches and rock chips here and there, but nothing you can see unless you are really looking for it. The car had a professional clear coat for paint protection over the entire vehicle. All factory VIN stickers are present. I have a fresh mixture of the original color paint for touching up stone-chips that I will include as well. I will include the factory workshop manuals – as electronic PDF files – for the buyer of the vehicle. I have a word file and all receipts for maintenance, repairs, and enhancements I have done to the car during my ownership.
