Vehicle Detail
This International has been a local Boise truck its whole life. It runs very smooth and I have driven it (last year when I got it). The gas tank needs to be cleaned out as it sat for many years. The brake pedal goes to the floor. I used an electric fuel pump with a line to a tank and drove it a few miles and around the neighborhood. It runs very quiet smooth. The truck was painted several years ago, and the seat has been recovered. The front windshield goes out easily. The tires are old, and also included is a spare set of wheels (in the bed) that go with it. The truck will need some tinkering. I bought a new 6 volt battery for it, but the starter was turning the engine over very slowly, so I believe it needs to be rebuilt or replaced. The brakes do not work, I used the emergency brake. The back window has cracks. Also, the gear shifter or cable needs to be adjusted. It works fine in all gears with no grinding or bad noises at all, but, it only will work in first and reverse (up and down) or second and third ( up and down)... I really dont rememer what I had to do to swich it, but again, it works fine, but needs something - and I am not familiar with these older trucks to know what that adjustment or ? is that is needed.... but am sure its a simple fix. The rear bumper was attached to the fenders and is not fit and finish workmanship, and the paint/body work (which does not appear to be much at all) are average. The front stainless steel trim that goes in the middle of the grill is on the front seat. I am selling the truck as it sits and if it does not make reserve, which will really surprise me, I will put the electric fuel pump on it, and take a video of it driving/running, which will bring more value to the truck, and relist it again. If you have specific questions, or want pictures of something else, and there are bids, I will respond quickly. This truck will be sold, its not just a listing "for sale". I have good feedback and my reputation is more valuable than a exaggerated description would bring...watch closely, I may lower reserve /buy it now ( havent decided price and format yet) If you live in Oregon or Washington, or other somewhat close location, I may deliver for a fee. DavidOn Nov-14-10 at 07:29:21 PST, seller added the following information: This truck, being bought here in Boise, has zero rust, and I was told it had no rust prior to painting it. Boise is a very dry desert like climate. If you have specific pictures you would like taken, just email. I have a clear title. The truck can stay here for up to a month. I guarantee the engine to run smooth and strong, and other than the shifting, the transmission is good as well.
