2004 Mazdaspeed Miata for sale Clean and clear Oregon title in hand in my name with no liens, no accidents (though a few small dings), 2nd owner. 39,500 miles. This is #297 out of 4000 made in 2004 - only 5500 of these special Mazda Mazdaspeed edition Miatas were ever made. Tires have lots of life left, and the top is in great shape. Just did an oil change with Mobile 1 synthetic 10W-30. These really are fantastic little cars! There is a minor transmission issue. If a downshift into 2nd gear is made slowly, it will grind putting it in gear. This can be avoided by downshifting quickly into 2nd, rev-matching the shift, or shifting into 2nd below 20mph. Upshifting works without a grind 100% of the time. I suspect the issue is with the 2nd gear syncro, and I received a quote from Santa Clara Transmission to rebuild it with a new 2nd gear syncro for $950, parts and labor. Other than these two small issues (the body dings and transmission syncro), the vehicle is in excellent shape. The engine sounds great, and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country today. In fact, if you buy the vehicle and are not able to pick it up, I might be available to drive it to you.
