You are bidding on a beautiful classic Mercedes Fintail - one of the last of its style. To let the cat out of the bag - the engine in this car is dead - kaputt. However, if you have a donor car or know how to get an engine, this is the car for you. My loss would be your gain - and I would be glad to know that someone gets this beauty on the road again. There is virtually no rust on this car. The mileage appears to be original, considering the near pristine condition of the interior and exterior. I had this car for about nine years, most of this time it has been sitting in a garage (dehumidified during the summer). Early on, the first engine blew on me. Then I had it replaced and very soon, it started to blow smoke, so I needed to step back and put it in the garage. Recently, I took it to a reputable Mercedes specialist and they told me that they could almost not turn it over, there is rust and antifreeze inside the engine - and they quoted me a price which is just beyond of what I am willing to invest. So I decided to cut my losses. The pictures speak for itself. Here is what I had done to the car - new clutch - new gas tank - new tires - new seat belts in the front Here are the flaws and dings I know about - beyond the fact that the engine is dead - the hood emblem needs a spring to hold it in place - the right front indicator cap is missing - small dent front left corner under headlight - scratch rear left fender - rust hole rear right bumper - radio not original - previous owner installed speakers in front doors and rear - Clock doesn't work So, in summary, this is not a show car but it could become one - in the right and capable hands. The buyer is responsible for shipping - I will work with your carrier - i.e. set up an appointment for pick up, you need to hire and pay the carrier and pay in full prior to shipment.
