Vehicle Detail
I bought this AMX from a guy in San Diego two years ago. He is a computer guru that has been the CEO of several internet companies and owns his own company now. He bought it in 1970 and owned it until I bought it. It runs and drives good, the motor is very strong and this car really pulls hard. It has been a California car all its life until I bought it. No rust. The trunk had some kind of pad stuck in it but I removed it. The trunk pan as well as the floors are rock solid. This AMX was set up to run, at one time it had a 401 in it that had 900hp and a nitrous set up. There is all kinds of parts that go with the car, they are to numerous to list and I am not sure what's all is there. This is a unique AMC and has had a lot of money put in it. If you have any questions email me your number and I'll call you ASAP. NO BAD FEEDBACK BIDDERS! If you have zero or low feedback email me before bidding or I may remove your bid. This AMX is sold as is. I reserve the right to end this auction at anytime. Clear Arkansas title. Street Engine: 1975 401 Stock bore, stock compression & internals R4B Edelbrock Aluminum Intake Manifold 780 Holley I bought this AMX off a guy that owned this car since November 1970 (second owner). The car has about 65,000 miles on it. This is a project car. I would recommend that all parts be taked apart, cleaned, painted and re-assembled. Suspension & Chassis: All new front suspension - ball joints, bushings, etc Henry's Forged One-Piece Axles in the AMC rear end - presently 2.87 gears One-of-a-kind Hooker Headers Custom built for additional ground clearance (which is sometimes a problem with AMX's) 2" primary tubes. Heavy duty custom driveshaft and u-joints Newer and larger front disk brakes Lowered front coil springs (custom made) Custom rear leaf springs - made just for this car with a special arc and spring rate (no shackles hanging down) Koni rear shocks Adjustable 3 position front to rear braking proportioning valve (in engine compartment) Non-power brake master cylinder American Racing 200S Fully polished wheels (need re-polishing) Body: Paint is in poor condition but the metal is all solid Rear Fender openings enlarged to allow for 10.5 inch slicks, however the openings still look fairly stock Front Fender opening lip rolled back to allow for larger front tires All undercoating removed from car (and underside painted flat black) Engine compartment - a lot of body work, smoothing, sanding spot welds, etc to make the engine compartment metal smooth Aluminum heater block off panel Front Windshield was replaced with a new one (no pits) All other glass in very good condition Car includes all new NOS weatherstripping and door window trim Car's metal is in good shape - only surface rust in some spots. Car is stored indoors Stainless steel trim is in good condition Customized steel hood with the AMX hood louvers opened up so they are functional Interior: Custom Stewart Warner instruments and aluminum dash pod New Aftermarket seats in the box Custom rear center section contains car stereo amps and speakers (no head unit) Other features: 1/2 inch fuel line all the way from rear to front of car (even gas tank pickup) Nitrous high pressure line from trunk to front Rear mounted battery with 00 cable Super rare 2.64 low first gear Super T-10 - only a few of these were made. Brand new AMX Grille New fiberglass front bumper Extra door panel driver side Extra tail light lenses Extra AMX chrome letters and AMC emblems - some quite rare NOS 390 AMX air cleaner decal and NOS 401 air cleaner stickers Spare quarter glass pieces Extra center section simulated wood grain dash overlays - some with AC vents and some without 140 MPH Speedo and Tach Cluster - great condition New NOS Posi Clutch packs Extruded aluminum rocker panels (not on car) Extra suspension & other hardware cad plated AMC Racing Team Patch JAVAMX Car Club Patch AMC Racing Book AMC Service Manual 1969 AMX Books New aluminum radiator New carpet Other parts not listed.
