You are bidding on a 1962 Mercedes Benz 220SEb 2 dr hardtop. According to Mercedes production records, there were 4,700 two door coupes and cabriolets produced worldwide in 1962. Most likely, there were about 2,500-2,800 HT coupes. This is a semi-rare automobile, probably one of the estimated 25% running today. Mercedes USA informed me that the VIN was not a USA original destination. The instruments are in kilometers. The auto seems to be in original condition from the feedback I've received. The odometer works, but not sure about the mileage, whether it's 47,326, 147,326, etc . . . . But these are kilometers, not miles. It is Silver on the exterior with a red/burgundy leather interior. According to the Mercedes production card, the original color was ivory. Below are its current strengths, repairs done, and areas that need attention: Strengths: Very strong well running engine Beautiful leather, headliner, wood, and carpet interior New tires New Battery All the exterior lights work - interior instrument lights working Radio works (w/ switch) Most instruments work - sunroof is operational New ignition switch currently garaged brakes are solid Recent repairs: Fuel line repaired ignition switch replaced window rolling mechanism repaired Major areas that Need Attention: Two major rust spots under the front seats (see photos) - the rest of the car has only very small rust spots based on my inspection transmission hesitates (on/off) when shifting into the higher gear and there is a leak Rear Bumper has two dings Gas gauge not working For an almost 50 year old car, it is a beautiful vehicle, but the rubber is old, etc . . . . The title is clear (Arizona) and you will get a copy of the original datacard from Mercedes.
