Vehicle Detail
This car belongs to my husband. I am listing it for him, as he doesn't have the time to do so himself. All of the following information in red script was written by him, from his knowledge, and perspective. It was transposed word for word to this listing. Any questions about the car may be directed to me through eBay and he will review and respond asap. At his request, and for obvious reasons, he will require the winning bidder to make a non-negotiable, non-refundable $500.00 security deposit into my PayPal account within 24 hours after close of auction. Thanks for looking and good luck. RELISTED 11-4-10. DROPPED RESERVE BY $500.00 AND ADDED A BUY IT NOW PRICE. Really a shame to sell it this cheap. I need my shop built more than I need the car. 11-6-10. Attention all possible bidders: I am taking a considerable loss selling at this price. If my car does not sell this time, I will be spending time and money getting the car running and driveable. I will then relist in the spring and my price goes up. I bought this car from a friend a little more than 4 years ago. This Charger SE was a B3 blue, 383/auto on the floor car, from the factory. It has all blue interior (black carpet) and a ralley dash, minus factory radio and 1 gauge (tach and/or clock). It was also missing all the original drivetrain, windshield trim, front bucket seats, console, auto shifter, front side marker lights, left hand grill insert, and had the round air cleaner hole already cut in the hood when I got it. Front grill/bumper show typical signs of dumb people using tow hooks on it. Front valance is not perfect and one front turn is broken. It has a little rust showing behind both rear tires. The vinyl top is shot. The rest of the body is pretty straight. Rear bumper, tailights, and trunk lid are very nice. It has decent doors, front fenders, good floors, trunk extensions, etc. The interior is showing it's age, but is not junk either. It was a California car and, based on overall condition, I would believe the mileage shown to be original. No guarantees, just a somewhat educated guess, based on my 25 plus years of experience. I have been into old MOPARS since I was 15 years old. My buddy and I both worked at a local NAPA store together for 5-6 years. During the time he owned this car, he replaced some of the wore out stuff with new/remanufactured NAPA parts. Since enough of the original parts were missing, making a correct restoration difficult, my intentions had been to make it my own street version of Richard Petty's red and blue STP Charger he raced in 1972. I spent most of the first year collecting some of the small missing parts and other misc parts to make it more NASCAR. Had to have a 4-speed, wide black wheels, etc. I have the complete pedal assembly (used), most of the linkage parts (new), Year One tunnel hump (new), and has a 4-speed carpet installed in the car (new), and a set of four 16 x 8 black Cragar Soft 8 wheels (new). I also have extra grill inserts (used), front turn signals (used), extra fuel tank (used), in the trunk. I was going to get the car driveable and cruise it while I got the rest of my NASCAR wish list done. In 2007, I titled it in my name and I parted out a good running, very rusty, 1971 Fury Gran Coupe. The 360/auto trans from that car was dropped into this one. That is as far as I ever got. The car does not run at this time. Engine installation was never completed, some stuff needed I have, some I don't. Obviously, none any of my other plans for the car came together either. Most of this is due to time and money issues (moved the year after I got the car, work 2 jobs, changed my day job twice, current day job working 50-60 hrs a week, bought another house for the wife and moved again, blah blah blah). I have a small side business as my second job. I have decided to sell this car and use the money to help build a much needed work shop at our new home. I have been as honest in my description as possible. If I missed anything, I assure you it was not intentional. Including my original purchase price, cost of the Fury parts car, and all the other pieces I have collected, my reserve is about half of the actual cash I have invested in this car. The Weld wheels and new tires on the car in my pictures ARE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS AUCTION with the car. I have replaced them with plain steel wheels and ok used tires that all hold air, making moving and loading easier. Remaining balance of payment due (minus the $500.00 deposit) is to be paid in full within 10 (ten) days after close of auction. A clear, notarized title and 2 sets of keys will be provide by me to the new owner. Payment must be a certified Bank cashiers check made out directly to me. No personal checks accepted. As stated above, a non-negotiable, non-refundable $500.00 deposit must be made to my wife's PayPal account within 24 hours after close of auction. Also, all shipping arrangements and/or storage costs after close of auction, are the responsibility of the winning bidder. I would ask that the car be removed from the property in the same 10 (ten) days provided to get payment done, thanks.
