Vehicle Description The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) in Albany, NY is selling some of its’ used vehicles. CDTA is a public authority, and operates bus service in Albany, Rensselaer, Saratoga & Schenectady counties in upstate New York. Please visit www.cdta.org for more information on us. This truck was used as a support vehicle for transit service. Vehicle number - T50 VIN Number – 3B6MF366X1M278257 Make/Model/Year – 2001 Dodge Ram 3500 Pickup Truck Passenger Seating Capacity - 2 Mileage of vehicle – 64,499 Description Vehicle is being sold “as is,” and CDTA makes no guarantees about the condition or drivability of the vehicle. If this auction looks familiar, it is because it is the same one that we listed about a month ago. There was miscommunication about what was wrong with the truck and it did not sell. Our maintenance department did a reevaluation of the truck, and instead of sending it to the scrap yard, we are relisting it. Please read the paragraph below for information on the condition of the truck. In 2008, this truck had an internal engine failure due to a massive oil leak, and the engine has not been repaired. This truck has not run since then, and does not currently run. The engine does not work. This truck is missing its’ turbo, and has been cannibalized for many other parts. Some body parts are missing as well, as well as the two outside wheels of the rear duals. This truck is a 4-wheel drive truck. This truck has body rust, and all the fluids have been drained from it. Vehicle Pickup Due to security issues, the following criteria must be followed – NO EXCEPTIONS -All winning bidders who wish to enter CDTA property must sign in and present a valid photo ID -All winning bidders who wish to enter CDTA must be accompanied by a CDTA staff member at all times -No work may be done on the bus on CDTA property. CDTA’s mechanics will not be available to charge the batteries, replace flat tires, add engine oil, etc. -Vehicle must be towed. There can be no attempts to drive the vehicle off the lot. -Once the vehicle is off of CDTA’s property, it cannot be brought back on. Availability Vehicle pickup must be made between 9:00am and 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. CDTA requires 24 business hours notice before pickup. CDTA stores vehicles in 3 locations. This vehicle is stored at CDTA’s Albany location: 110 Watervliet Avenue Albany, NY 12206 Vehicle must be paid for within 7 days of winning auction and must be removed from our property (at buyers expense) within 21 days of winning auction. New York State buyers must pay 8% sales tax on this purchase. Tax-exempt buyers must present valid tax-exemption paperwork (resale certificate, tax-exempt form, etc.) Buyer must provide 24 business hours notice, with approval by CDTA, prior to vehicle pick up. CDTA accepts Cash-in Person, Certified Bank Checks, Money Orders, and Paypal ONLY. Note – Prior to vehicle removal, winning bidder will be required to sign a bill of sale, in order for CDTA to track its' disposal of surplus vehicles. CDTA requires the winning bidder’s name, company (should the vehicle be purchased for a company) address, and phone number. A sample bill of sale is available upon request. The bill of sale must be signed by the winning bidder before payment is made, as a copy of the signed bill of sale is required by CDTA’s treasury department in order to issue a receipt for the vehicle payment.
