Not many 45's around since you could not buy them during the war. This was originally a Texas forestry service truck. Started it's life with forest green paint, then white and red and now Black and Tan. This truck gets attention everywhere it goes. This truck was restored to driver quality in 2007. It has a 8BA flathead out of a later model ford, a 3spd transmission and a Ford 9" rear end. It has a new interior including door panels, headliner, painted dash and leather seat. I have driven it on the highway and it runs great, although a little scary at high speed. It has old school 6 volt wiring, off-road side pipes and firestone whitewall tires. It runs, drivers and shifts with no apologies. The engine I am told was rebuilt in 2006 and has under 1000 miles on it. It is 65 years old so please don't expect a new truck you can drive daily on the highway. We recently replaced the oil pan gasket, rear main seal, crank seal, rear trans seal, clutch , flywheel and ring gear. It now only seaps a small amount of oil here and there. It could really use a set of front tires and the gas gauge does not work. The temp, oil and volt gauge all work. The paint is nice driver quality with some small imperfections here and there. No attention was paid to the frame other then a quick spray. It is not show pretty but appears very solid with the exception being the horizontal peices under the bed , they have some rot. The running boards are painted with rhino liner and are actually able to be used to get in and out. The pickup bed is the same. If anyone would like specific photos of anything just ask.
