Vehicle Detail

This Auction ends OCTOBER 31st at 8:00PM EST Up for auction ..........one Factory 1989 635csi 5-speed black on black. This vehicle fits my definition of "very rare". final year = 142 5-speed 635 from BMW for North America 25 = black on black 12 = were fully loaded black on black (one confirmed destroyed in 2004) This car is one of 11 fully loaded black / black cars (3.64 locking rear end, cold weather package) still remaining for the final year of the e24 six series. Autocheck calculates only 48 people have ever owned these 25 cars. (now 24) Awesome Car. #7 of the 25 made. Almost every record since new. Clean title car with 4 adult male owners. Autocheck Vehicle History Report: http://www.box.net/shared/94l8dzax89 No 3rd party accessories except Lo-Jack Anti theft. Very original, continually serviced by BMW specialists throughout its history. An overview of all service history & records coming with the car can be found here. http://www.box.net/shared/dmvl4y95ra This is a matching # driveline car with original (not repro) VIN tags on the cylinder head and transmission. Engine runs mobile 1 synthetic. Car has always seen regular service & not missed synthetic oil changes. Strong Running Car. This car starts flawlessly every time from a cold start, no hesitation. This car does not smoke during operation. This car does not leak a drop of fluid when parked. Drives exceptionally well at 80mph daily. It is immediately apparent upon operation this vehicle has never been abused. Inside of the cylinder head looks remanufactured it is so clean inside. It is the original head, with the original VIN tag still on the side of it. Car still retains the original (factory correct) 3.64 LSD rear end. Specific to 1988-1989 (spotless inside, does not whine) Rear Self Levelling system deactivated by previous owner and replaced with factory standard rear shocks & springs. Recent new windshield & gasket, very clear with almost no pitting. Currently garaged. Optional factory M-technic (M6) rear decklid spoiler. Rear retractable sunshade was left up from 1997-2009 and there is virtually no warping shrinking or sun damage to the rear speaker shelf. Leather headliner & sunvisors are perfect. Sunroof works & operates like new. Front and rear A/C cleaned sealed charged. Nothing in the interior appears re-dyed. All leather has the original pre-1992 (EPA banned) solvent based finish. Rear seats have not been sat in. Tires are 60%+ left and are summers mounted on e34 5 series 1989-1995 cross-spoke basket weave wheels. Full custom exhaust with catalytic converter brand new, Cat added to keep this exhaust as quiet as possible. As with any 200,000 mile luxury sports car, there are going to be some things to do. An overview of all current mechanical needs can be found here. http://www.box.net/shared/m4o6ah33mo These final "K" VIN cars (produced beyond August of 1988) were standard fitted with all of the latest updatings and were the most expensive non-M 635csi made. ($47,520 MSRP). (bumper surrounds and front air dam painted in body color /225bhp Big Valve M30 engine/ 260/6 transmission, ellipsoid headlamps etc) These cars also received the L6 (luxury) or "highline" all-leather equipment package. These are leather wrapped interior components including the full roof assembly/ headliner.) The rust. This car was a coastal car from 1997-2009. It now needs spot repair in the common 6-series areas that need attention. Rear wheel forward fender arches could be fixed on the car. Lower tail light area / plate lamp /rear finish panel needs to be sealed up. Bottom of outer rocker skins & front forward battery box has thru rust. Ideally these repairs should be investment quality, so I have not addressed these with temporary fixes. If you wanted to used glass filler & color matched touch up paint I'm sure this car could be fixed in a weekend. However, winner of this auction also gets a rear clip and inner fender structure from a 116,000 mile western car to assist a complete & proper repair. One way or another, this car should have these areas restored.
