Vehicle Detail
1991 Mazda Miata with Stock Ford 302 Let me be clear that this car was built with the main componets coming from Monster Miata in California. However, I fabricated my own rear end bracket, transmission bracket and modified the K-member or front sub-frame along with the oil pan. I prefer the way I did it only because it was very minimal cutting for the oil pan. The main components that came from Monster Miata are the headers, axles, and the splined hubs. The car is 100%driveable and I have taken it on 1000 mile trips and it ran wonderfully well. I have not hooked up all the emission components however they are all there. Other components include: 302 with 70,000 miles freshened up with new gaskets and new oil pump synthetic oils used New flywheel clutch and pilot bearing New starter, alternator, water pump and harmonic balancer World Class t-5 newly rebuilt with 2.95 1st gear and Findanze short throw shifter and Syncormesh fluid Howe hydraulic throw out bearing McLeod clutch cylinder Griffin aluminum radiator Summit racing pusher fans custom length drive shaft from driveline in Chicago ground effect coil overs with stronger springs for the increased weight. Racing Beat body kit Racing Beat sway bars DTM 17 in rims ATX adjustable shocks Flowmaster 40 mufflers with cats. Energy suspension bushing set installed. All suspension and sub frames were pulled sandblasted and POR-15 very clean and ZERO rust. LSD with 7.5" rear end with 3.27 gears. All gauges work however the tack needs to be adjusted to the V8 The bad: The paint job is bad. It was originally painted red and someone painted it white over the red and it is all chipping away. There is a dent on the drivers front quarter panel. The emissions are not hooked up, although it dosent matter with the year of the car. The rear window has a tear and window is broken. The top is in great shape and you can get a replacement window only. Front tires need to be replaced. Rear are good. The car is 19 years old and show it's age in places so don't expect a new car. I will let the two videos here speak for themselves. One is a walk around the car and the other is the car turning around with a little throttle thrown in. In short all the hard work is complete if you are a body man then this is the perfect car for you. An unbelievable deal. If it wasn't for the paint I would be asking double. This is your only chance to own a monster miata at a reasonable price. I wish you all good luck on bidding and feel free to contact me with any questions.
