Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 2002 Porsche 911 Carrera! This '02 Carrera has been my daily driver for the past few years. I've moved to the city now, and walk to work every day, hence my reason for selling. This Carrera has just 73,850 miles on it! It is in excellent condition inside and out. I'm a non-smoker, no kids, and no pets, so the interior has been kept extremely clean. The car has been fully maintained, and then some. All maintenance and repairs have been performed at the local Porsche dealer, HBL Porsche / Audi in Tysons Corner, VA, and by German Auto Group in Springfield, VA. This car has always been garaged – parked in my garage at home, and parked in the building garage at my office. This car has no known issues whatsoever, everything works and works perfectly. This is really a wonderful car and you will love it! This 996 is also equipped with some very nice factory options: Xenon headlamps, suede headliner, Porsche crest embossed power seats, Bose Premium stereo system with factory Bose subwoofer and 6-disc CD changer, Porsche floor mats, 18” sport wheels, 6-speed manual transmission, and Metallic Black paint. This car includes many thousands of dollars in service and maintenance receipts, all of the original books, manuals, and paperwork, and two keys with built-in keyless entry remote. This car has never been in a collision, and all body panels and paint are original! The car has a clear Virginia title, current Virginia registration, and current Virginia inspection and emissions certificate. Test drives and pre-purchase inspections are welcome! You won't be disappointed! Notable maintenance, repairs, and upgrades include: 60,000 mile maintenance performed on time, including full tune up, filters, and beltsThe dealer noticed that one of the coil packs was cracked, and said that it is quite common on these cars after 60k miles. They recommended replacing all six coil packs. It was rather expensive, but I had them do it anyways. Both power window regulators have been replaced within the past two years. This is also a common item on the 996 and Boxster.Factory oil change interval on this car is 15,000 miles which even the local Porsche dealer says is absurd. I've been changing the oil every 5,000 miles instead, using only the factory recommended Mobil 1 0W-40.The city bulbs in the headlamps have been replaced with high output LED bulbs. I bought these on a business trip to Europe two years ago, and have never seen them sold here in the US! When you're using the city lights, it gives the entire headlamp a cool white glow that really looks amazing! The battery was replaced last year with an Optima Red TopThe original Cassette radio was replaced with a Genuine Porsche in-dash CD player. The radio code card is of course included. The in-dash cassette holder was replaced with a storage compartment from a Boxster S. The ash tray was replaced with a storage bin from a Boxster S.Brake pads were replaced last year with high quality Pagid Made in Germany brake pads.Brake fluid and transmission fluid were both replaced last year.Tires all have plenty of tread left on them.Good bidding!! Terms of sale: I am an individual selling my own personal car. I am not a car dealership, and cannot offer a warranty. The car is sold as-is, where-is. I have described the car and its condition to the best of my knowledge, please see my feedback and bid with confidence, I have 10+ years of 100% feedback. This is a used car with 73k miles on it, although it has been meticulously cared for, there is normal wear consistent with a car of this age. At the conclusion of the auction, a $500 deposit is due via Paypal. The remainder of the balance is due at the time you come pick the car up, which must be within 14 days of the end of the auction. I can pick you up from any of the local DC airports. When you pick the car up, you will also receive all the records and paperwork, both keys, and a signed bill of sale. You will not receive the title until your payment has cleared my bank. There are too many scams involving fake cashiers checks these days, and recourse becomes extremely difficult without the title. I will send you the title via Fedex Overnight envelope as soon as your payment clears my bank, usually in 5 to 7 business days. I can lend you my license plates and registration for your drive home, but you must mail them back to me within 30 days. You are responsible for securing your own insurance policy. You are responsible for securing your own financing, parking, and wife's permission before you place your bid. If you don't agree to these terms, please do not bid.
