1965 Mustang Coupe driveable restomod project. Good driver with excellent updates. This car is and can be enjoyed in present condition! Please see the description below that will give a detailed review of the upgrades and restoration to date. This car started out as a 289 V8 2 barrel automatic car, with the dark metallic green paint. Body 65A Color R Trim 26 Date U26, DSO 33 Axle 6 trans 6 Drivetrain- *1995 5.0, (302) V8- EFI, 5 speed conversion from 40k donor car (remains stock). Ron Morris Performance transmission mount. Painless wiring harness and 1990 computer. Braided stainless fuel lines with BBK fuel pump and Billet filter. New fuel tank with sump. Tach on dash. 1995 replacement radiator (new) with electric fan from 95' Cobra. Tri-Y headers breathing into free flowing exhaust which dumps right after rear end. Sounds good! Aluminum adjustable shock tower braces. Monte Carlo bar. 9 inch rear end housing-same as Hi-Po Mustangs (K) cars with big brakes. 3.89 gears with Detroit Locker positraction rear (Danny Miller). Custom steel driveshaft. Granada disk brake upgrade on front with dual master cylinder- stops excellent and much safer than original. 620lb front springs and new suspension components and bushings. New Custom rear leaf springs. Shelby style traction bars. Whole car sits about 2 inches lower than stock. Handles well, but not too harsh! Eagle alloys with BFG radial TAs. Hurst big ball shift knob. BBK adjustable clutch quadrant and short throw shifter. King Cobra clutch. Body- New fiberglass front racing apron with new turnsignal/ marker light assemblies. 2 new front fenders. Passenger side has new outerwheel house, framerail and full quarter panel. Two new full floor pans have been installed as well. 3M rocker panel coating has been sprayed both under the car and on interior (pans) of the car yellow color to soundproof and provide rust protection. Brand new windshield! New headliner. Both front and rear glass was removed and taken to bare metal and resprayed and reinstalled with new gaskets. Can easily remove stainless trim and paint car. Hood is decent. Doors are rusty (bottoms). Driver quarter could stand to be replaced. Trunk decent. Overall it would take very little to have this car ready for paint! Most of the hard upgrades have been done. Interior is decent, with the carpet currently removed to show new panels. I do have many extra parts that can be purchased seperately that could be useful for the completion of this project- ie sheetmetal etc. (They are NOT included in the sale of the car) This could be discussed after the car has been purchased.
