When he left the service the car was not driven very much and the last State Inspection was in 1998. It has obviously been garaged because the paint and the chrome are still in very good condition. There is paint work on the passenger door but the body is solid and there is no repair work or mud anywhere. The decals are original and look exceptionally good. The interior is also well preserved with no rips or tears and an excellent surface on the vinyl seats. There is some minor rust and stone chips on the rocker panels but no perforation. We have serviced the vehicle and changed the fluids and it runs great. The engine starts right up and runs smooth and strong. The transmission shifts fine and this car is ready drive now or take to the next level with some buffing and minor paint work. The splash guard by the grille needs replaced as well -this was a common problem on Firebirds of this era.We have attempted to show this vehicle as completely as possible in the pictures to give an accurate representation of the condition of this remarkable survivor. Due to the bright sunlight today we have taken many extra pictures to show different views of the paint.
