Vehicle Detail

This garage kept car is in excellent condition. Third owner, 51,450 original miles, leather seats, very clean. New battery, and radiator. There are some cosmetic scuffs and scratches on the paint This car is drivable, but does have some transmission issues. The transmission may need to be repaired or replaced.Hi folks, some have asked for more specifics about the transmission, here's the situation: The car belonged to my wife's grandmother, and it ran fine for her. She died, and the car sat for more than a year. When I took possession of it and drove it out of her garage, I didn't get very far when it slipped out of gear, and wouldn't shift at all. I pulled over and turned it off. When I started it again, it shifted fine for a few minutes, then the whole thing happened again. This repeated until I got it home. I discovered transmission fluid in the radiator, and figured there was a leak where the transmission lines run through the radiator, so I replaced the radiator, and transmission fluid, and filter. After that, when I started it, it wouldn't go into any gear right away, but after running for a few minutes, it shifted normally. The past several times I've started it, it's acted perfectly normal, and shifts fine right away, and drives normally. Once it started driving normally, the, "check engine" light came on. I suspect it may just be a sticky solenoid, but I'm no mechanic. It's a great car, I would keep it, but I don't really need it, or want to insure it, and it's taking up space in the driveway. I drove this car today,(10/20) and there was some slipping of the gears until it warmed up, so if you choose to bid on this car, do so know that there is something wrong with it that requires some sort of attention.
