Vehicle Detail

This is an almost completely restored classic 68 convertible Camaro, the front end and interior have been completely restored, there are just a few cosmetic items which need to be completed at the buyers preference. This is not a numbers matching engine to body type but the asking price is reflected by this. The car had the original 6 cylinder GM motor which was replaced by an 8 cylinder 327 with headers and dual exhaust. The car is in excellent running condition with no mechanical repairs required whatsoever. The original automatic transmission with the shifter on the steering column has also been replaced with the the 3 speed powerglide transmission on the floor. I bought the car with the engine work completed and finished restoring the car interior and convertible top. I personally removed the complete interior which was originally baby blue and converted it to an all black interior. I replaced any parts that were not salvageable and kept as many of the original parts to maintain as much patina to the authenticity of the car. The convertible frame is original however the top material is new condition. I also had the original seats reupholstered but the seats are also primarily original to the car. I have receipts and pictures of the car's history and restoration work. I have dramatically reduced the price of the car since I have since moved out of state and I have the car with a friend who is maintaining the car until it sells. I have a trusted mechanic who has worked on the car for almost fifteen years and he can attest to any mechanical questions you may have. Please only serious buyers please. I have included as much information about the car that can be discussed over the phone, so if you are truly interested you can see the car if you are in the Los Angeles area. I also have the original Rally wheels that came with the car which are included in the purchase price. If you have any concerns other than with the description of the car please call Jeff at 323-663-5333.On Oct-13-10 at 10:06:58 PDT, seller added the following information: This is an almost completely restored classic 68 convertible Camaro, the front end and interior have been completely restored, there are just a few cosmetic items which need to be completed at the buyers preference.
