We are selling our Toyota MR2. My brother bought and owned this car in Texas for several years before we brought it up to Indiana. It is a very solid car that does run and drive well. It has been maintained mechanically but not cosmetically. It was not garaged in Texas and the original dark blue paint faded. It is now in black primer as pictured. The primer was carefully applied and all trim masked. We are still driving it, but would like to sell before winter for the garage space. We stored it last winter and have not driven it on salted roads. Good points include that it starts and runs well and gets great gas mileage. It is fun to drive and all critical systems, including the clutch and brakes, work well. The body is very solid with only minor body work evident over the years. There is a dent in the door as pictured. It has new tires and a new muffler. The seats and headliner are good and carpet ok. It has a pop-up sunroof. The headlights function as they should. The rubber seals are in surprisingly good condition. Less good points are the dash and door panels. The Texas heat took their toll on them. It needs a new radio and radio surround. There are also various broken, discolored, or missing bits inside. The heater does not seem to be putting out heat, but otherwise the heater and fan controls work fine. It does put a a puff of blue smoke at start-up after sitting idol and drips a bit of oil. It will spill some gas if the tank is topped off, but otherwise does not drip or leak gas. A new gas tank and charcoal canister did not fix this, but I suspect it to be a minor problem as there are no other fuel issues. Overall it has been a fun and dependable car for us, but I need to get my garage space before winter. I am happy to discuss any details with you.
