Up for auction is a Fordor sedan body for a model T ford. This body is suitable for any chassis up to 1925, however this particular body is from August of 1924. There are features that point to this time. The body is all steel (as opposed to some aluminum panels on earlier versions) and the door frames are still made of wood. Additionally, the interior is brown wool and NOT the later gray color. So it is clear that this body is from the August 1924 timeframe. What you get is the body only. You do not get the fenders, running boards or splash aprons. You get from the cowl on back. The body panels are very straight and solid and I've put new wood in about 85% of it. The doors are set and open and close properly, but need to be final anchored. I replaced the wood in the lower part of the doors but the upper 2/3'rds of the door wood is original and good. I have all seat frames and seat springs except one of the front seat cushions. The seat frames are pretty solid and can probably be re-used with some work. I also installed new floor wood. The front doors have new metal welded in the lower part of the door as seen in the pictures. The rear panels have had new panels welded in the lower sections also. They have light surface rust on them from sitting bare for a few years which is why they look brown. The still need to be fitted and nailed to the wood. They are only hung with a few tacks right now but they are good solid panels that have a lot of work in them. The side and rear glass is there and intact for patterns for safety glass. All window mechanisms work and are present but need to be re-finished. The inner door wood that holds the wondow regulators is there also. SOme is useable and some is not but it is all there for patterns and is easily made. The front cowl has been painted and looks good but has one small imperfection. If you are building a Stynoski car, you'll probably want' to repaint the cowl but I was going to use it for a driver and it looks great for that in my opinion. The only things missing are some pieces of window garnish and the rear body panel below the back window.. In a nutshell, you could take this body, finish the metal work (what little there is left to do) finish the door guts, add some glass, a top kit and interior kit and you've got yourself a nice Fordor Sedan ready for your rolling chassis. This is a great body and will look great when finished. TERMS: A deposit of $250 via check or money order is due within 7 days of auction end. Pickup with balance in CASH ONLY is due in 3 weeks from the end of the auction unless other arrangements are made. I DO NOT TAKE PAYPAL SO DON"T ASK. I will help load. It would be good if you bring a few buddies along because the body is pretty heavy. ALSO, I live in the mountains so you can only get a rollback or a pickup with a car trailer up my driveway. Semi's are out of the questions. I can transport the body to a location where a semi can pick it up for a fee but you need to make the arrangments. Ask questions BEFORE the auction ends or before you bid.
