Vehicle Detail
1969 Chevrolet Camaro Rally Sport (RS) This is a project car. It is not driveable and needs a full, complete restoration. It is for sale in "as-is, where-is" condition with no warranty of any type. There is no driveshaft in the car. It may be driveable with a new one and a tune-up. The car is a real RS 69 Camaro. Original color is Dover White with White Houndstooth (50 50 on the trim tag) interior including the wood kit. We believe the paint to be original, but it absolutely needs to be re-done. It has a 350 in the car that I believe to be the original one because of the "HS" markings. At some point it was rebuilt and the motor was decked causing the numbers to be removed. You decide for yourself if it is original or not. It is a shame they decked the block, because it would be a matching numbers RS. It comes with an automatic transmission with a horseshoe shifter on the console between the seats. It is also a factory A/C and factory power steering car. I included pictures. There is another rare option on the speedometer. You will notice a white tab on the gauge face that you can adjust to a certain speed. If you exceed it, a buzzer will go off. This was a very highly optioned Rally Sport in its day. These cars are rare. The garnet red stripes are also believed to be original because of the "factory appearing overspray". Again, you decide. The RS headlights do not work. I believe that all of the sheetmetal is original to the car except for the passenger door. It is a GM camaro door off of another camaro. Portions of the quarters will need to be replaced. I would just do patches so that you could retain as much GM metal as possible. Same goes for the front fenders. The floor and trunk pans seem to be in excellent shape. This is a great project for a person wanting one of the most sought-after musclecars of all time. It is an entire car, and those of you that have done restorations realize how many parts have to be tracked down if you start with just a shell. I have tried to include pictures of anything a person would like to see. I received a negative feedback on the last car that I sold. The person chose not to come and see the car in person, and he only had "2" feedback. We have worked out a resolution and he says that he will remove the negative comments. Please do not bid on the car if you have less than "5" feedback. Make sure you are totally satisfied with the car's condition before you bid. I encourage you to come and see the car in person to make sure you are totally satisfied before you bid on it or purchase it. Please call me with any questions if you have any concerns at all about what you are bidding on. I have a Georgia Title to the car in my name (rare in Georgia). I will also provide a bill of sale and a current registration to the buyer. The car is for sale locally, and I reserve the right to end this auction at any time. No calls after 10pm eastern time.
