Ok, its been sitting behind my garage for about three years waiting for me to fix it up. I guess its not going to happen. These are my favorite cj's over the cj5 because they are about 6 inches longer and I dont bang my knee getting in and out. This one has the carburated 4.2 straight six engine and I think t-5 transmission. Engine and drive train appear to be original and unmolested, AND really dirty. Over 250k miles. Jeep has some rust issues, but still fairly solid. floors shot, which is typical on these but easy to repair. The frame appears to be very solid still. The body needs some love. Restored, these are worth a ton of money. I had planned on switching to a small block chevy v-8, and purchased the headers, bell housing, and radiator for the swap. Now reality setting in, and not enough time and energy to do it. I drove it around town a little when I bought it, and it seemed like a cj7 with 250k on it. Engine smoked some, but didnt seem to be overheating or anything. Four wheel drive worked, and hubs went in and out. One of the good things about it are the factory chrome wheels with original jeep center caps. Amazing they look that good after all this time. I put a battery in it, dumped a gallon of gas in it, and it fired right up! The exhaust system seems intact and fairly quiet. It idled pretty smoothly considering how long it has sat, and the crappy gas. Drove it around the block just for fun. Brakes worked! Bonus! For some strange reason, now it wont go into reverse. Maybe linkage? It has an opening tail gate and swing away spare tire carrier that is very handy. The windshield and hinges are still good. Nice rollbar. seats are ok but dont match. There was a top on it but it doesnt look like there is much of it left. I will include the engine swap items for an extra 250.00 if you want them. Jeep is of course as is where is, but will assist your shipper or perhaps bring it to you for an agreed on fee. No reserve, high bidder will own this cj.
