1968 Buick Skylark GS Convertible This is a beautiful looking 1968 Buick Skylark Convertible that was made to look like the sportier version Gran Sport. This body was recently completed by Wonder Lake Auto Body located in Hebron Illinois. They have over 30 years experience in Classic Car restoration, and have done many cars to Barrett-Jackson quality standards. They specialize in nut and bolt frame off restorations, and have performed many restorations for private collectors worldwide. This body is extremely solid and will last for many many years to come. The paint job is absolutely outstanding. They replaced the entire trunk pan and both rear quarter panels. The rubber gaskets around the doors and trunk were replaced with new gaskets. The door handles are brand new, and the balance of the chrome is all straight and in good driver quality condition. The undercarriage was also detailed prior to the show quality paintwork. This body looks absolutely stunning! This Buick still has the original numbers matching engine. It was painted in the original Burnished Saddle to keep its authenticity. This car came factory equipped with bucket seats and a console, and the dashboard has no cracks. I'm sure at some point the front seats were redone because they are very comfortable. The engine was nicely detailed as well as the trunk compartment. There are four like new raised white lettered B.F. Goodrich Radial T/A 70's on classic Buick chrome sport wheels with the original center caps correct for 1968. The trunk was also nicely detailed with the original jack and a full size spare with a matching chrome sport wheel. This is an air conditioned car, and everything is complete and intact, but there is no belt on the compressor although it still spins freely. This car was ordered with some rare options which include power windows that all work, and a factory tilt wheel. The top is in nice condition and goes up and down well. The brakes and steering work well, and the engine runs great and drives down the road beautifully. This car is running on a no reserve auction, so please only bid what you can afford.
