Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1977 MGB This car was in the process of being restored until recently when i lost my job the car runs and drives fine and should only need front turn signals and a horn to pass inspection. The interior of the car is where most of the work needs to be done i have installed a new black carpet kit in the car the piece on the rear ledge was not cut well and there is some metal showing however i have a few more cuts of carpet that should fill in the gaps. The heater core was replaced and the control knobs/switches need to be installed. Passenger seat belt is with the car but not installed. Under the hood the car looks and run good. many little parts and pieces have been added. This car has the twin SU setup (1.5 HIF4) The brakes feel somewhat soft I have not looked into the issue since i noticed it so i have no idea as to what the issue might be. There are new rebound straps under the car along with new gas type rear shocks. the are some scratches in the paint from where the hard top was put on/taken off. There is also some cracking next to the tail light on the right side. On the left front behind the tire there is some rust bubbling maybe 8 or 10 the diameter of a small pea. I know for certain this car has Bondo on it but i have not investigated to see how much. The body is structurally sound in the places where it needs to be. I do have the front bumper if that is a deal breaker i was just going to fashion my own front end. This car has no convertible top only the hard top which needs the gasket redone all the back side. It is glass and it one of the clearest i have seen. Be sure and look at all the pictures and you will see some of the things i mentioned. If you have any questions feel free to send me a message and i will do my best to answer them as soon as possible. My father owned this car since i was about 10 years old. i acquired it from him last year it is loads of fun to drive and pretty damn reliable for an MG. Thanks for taking a look. Good luck and happy bidding.
