1988 BMW M3 Lachssilber with Cardinal interior. The exterior of the car is in excellent condition. No rust on any portion of the car. The Car has been resprayed by the previous owner but the job was done professionally and well done. The car has been garaged during the winters. The rear wing has some cracks in the paint as is common with many of these M3's. The spare wheel is still the original tire and no rust on the inside of the spare wheel compartment, battery compartment or tool compartment. The Trunk lid tool box is complete and I still have both manuals that came with the car in 1988. The only thing this car needs to bring it to garage queen category is the interior seats re-upholstered and a new suspension to improve in handling and looks. The car has just over 140,000miles the engine was rebuilt just after I bought the car in 2003. I bought it with 117,600miles and opted to rebuild the engine to the 2.5L using Turner Motorsports kit. With the rebuild here is the work that was completed: -11.25:1 Compression pistons -BMW motorsport 2.5L crank -New head bolts -New rod bolts -Head was rebuilt, New springs, and o-rings on the valves -New Intake manifold gaskets -New Exaust Manifold gaskets -New valve cover gaskets -New clutch -Sythetic transmission fluid flush -New control arms and bushings (left/right) -New timing belt with tensioners -New oil pump and chain -New oil pan with baffle -All bottom end gaskets replaced -New water pump -Electric 17' fan replaces clutch fan -Ceramic coated header -Borla Stainless exhaust (Cat-back) -New Guibo bushing -New rear wheel bearings (not installed yet) -New rear differential bushing (not installed yet...one on the car is still good) -EVO airbox -K&N Airfilter -Magnacor spark plug wires -Rebuilt and tested original fuel injectors -New Brake pads/rotors (stock) Other mods that I did: -Newer headlights from an 89 M3 -E36 M Countour wheels -H&R Spacers -Alpine radio with new internal speakers. All stock speaker housings were used. -EVO II front spoiler -New rear tires The car runs, drives and looks great. I am looking to sell this car before the end of the season. I also have this car listed locally and reserve the right to sell it before the end of the auction. The buyer will be responsible for picking up/transport of the car.
