You are viewing my very original, low mileage, 1976 Jeep CJ-7. This was the first year of production for the CJ-7 and this one has several unique options. This Jeep has the original hard top and full doors, original AMC 304 V8 engine and original turbo 400 automatic transmission. The Jeep still has its original orange paint and the black interior. Here are some of the Jeep's features: Original factory hardtop and steel doors New Buckshot tires Original 304 V8 engine with low miles Power Brakes Original Turbo 400 transmission Original Quadra-Trac full time four-wheel drive Original paint that is in great shape Dual side exhaust that sounds great The paint and body are in excellent condition to be 35 years old! I took all the carpet out and took pictures of the tub to show that the only rust I could find was surface rust and the body/frame are very solid. I have included these pictures and if I missed an area you would like to see just let me know. I have installed new front seats, a new console in the last three months and the interior looks great. Mechanically, this Jeep is sound. The AMC 304 V8 engine starts easily and runs great. It does not run hot, smoke, knock, or leak oil. It pulls strong through all the gears and the original turbo 400 shifts just like it should. The four-wheel drive works fine and goes into low range without any problem. All of the original lights work, as do the wipers, signals, heat, and even the gas guage works.
