2000 Ford Explorer XLT - 4x4 - Automatic - 6 Cyl - AC - 190,395 Miles I am relisting this vehicle AGAIN because the winning bidder was a deadbeat and failed to leave a deposit or come to look at it. If you cannot pick this vehicle up within 7 - 10 days of the auction end - PLEASE DO NOT BID! Strong motor - no leaks, noise or smoking. Tranny, however, has a very weak or by now, non-existent reverse and second gear. We drove it 35 miles on the expressway at 60 mph - no problem - but it does have a tranny issue. Car is going to the highest bidder in "As Is" condition. It seems to have reverse when cold, somewhat sporadically. Driver door handle is broken and can only open from the inside. Passenger door is fine. AC is cold. Rear tires may or may not pass inspection. Front tires are excellent and the brakes feel fine. It was mostly highway driven, and actually drives very nicely. Leather interior shows some wear, but it's not bad. Body is pretty good - paint is excellent. There are some minor dimples and imperfections, but overall it's clean. Due to the tranny issue it will not pass NY State inspection... New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy.
