1979 Special Edition Trans Am For sale is our next in line of #s matching engine true Special Editions. Over these last few years, Southern Classic Trans Ams have been producing show quality Trans Ams. With our focus on getting the details correct, the black and gold SE is what we do. If you are looking for a #s matching project car to build into your dream TA, this may be the one. If you wish for us to return this TA back to its original glory, we can assist in your every need. Some of our past SE TAs we have sold on eBay, started as project cars. The finished product, which usually takes about 4 months, is a work of art that owners are proud to call their own. From the original type of acrylic lacquer paint on the exterior to the meticulously restored interiors, we strive to keep the original factory appearance. This project will need work. The engine hasn’t been started in years and should be gone through/rebuilt. AC system is complete and still has some pressure in it. There is some rust in floors, trunk lid, and around rear windshield that will need repaired. No other major rust issues in the rest of the body are to be found other than light surface rust. Brake system isn’t together and exhaust system is missing. Front buckets and rear seats (not shown in pics needing recovered) are included. Below, you will find pictures of this TA that we have for sale. At the very bottom of the pictures, you will find a few of our past SE TAs that were restored by us. They were sold on eBay and have made their way around the country and to other parts of the world.
