I purchased this car from my mechanic, one of the best Benz mechanics in So Cal. I have owned many diesels and been to quite a number of mechanics until I found this trusted guy, who's been my go to guy for 5 years. He of course dialed this thing is perfectly and I jumped on the chance to buy it. Having moved to a loft in the city, I no longer have room to park this 2nd car. This car is a bio-virgin. This car has seen no biodiesel or veggie oil. It will certainly make a great candidate for a bio-car, these cars are the ultimate for bio. Most old diesel Benz's out there will drive slow, leak oil, blow smoke and need many repairs. This is NOT one of those cars, and is priced accordingly. This car's seats and upholstery and in very good shape for their age. The drivers seat has been re-springed with Mercedes springs (approx $1100) and is as good as they get. Most every other car out there will have completely blown springs and will kill your back. This is the last year of this classic chasis which has the nice lines and super solid steel bumpers, and classic chrome parts.... I've owned several of these over the years, I easily prefer this body to the 81-85 body. Has the typical blemishes and interior wear, however I would say it's in above average condition. This is not a collector car, but it's a fine example of a well maintained 1980. Someone took care of this car and didn't let it fall to pieces like so many out there. With this car, you can be certain that you have a super solid transmission & motor, and it's very good looking as well. The exterior is in very decent shape! You will go years without seeing another one in this color out on the road.
