1974 Triumph Spit 6 Spitfire / GT-6 Project LOW RESERVE!! Up for auction is a Spit 6 running project car. This project was started some 20 years ago and never completed. The car is based on a Spitfire frame and body. The front springs and steering has all been replaced with GT-6 parts. The car has been stored inside a climate controlled garage since then. The frame and running gear have been completely restored. The 6 cylinder GT-6 engine is out of a 1970. The engine, transmission, and rear end have all been completely overhauled. The engine runs very well. The body has been chemically stripped from a professional paint shop. The body has been primed and has NO rust. The body does have some dings and will require some body work. The bonnett is a spitfire hood with a stinger from a GT-6 welded in the center. It is just roughed in and will require finishing work. The car also comes with the factory hard top. The glass and bumpers are in great shape. Lots of new and extra parts come with this car. Mechanically the car is solid. The following parts are new and have been replaced: New brakes New brakes lines New Coil New Plugs New Wires New Water Pump New overhauled radiator Complete undercoating of the body.
