Vehicle Detail

2001 Pontiac Grand Am SE - 4 Cyl - One Owner - Title Says "NEW" - Cold AC - 129,021 Miles I am relisting this vehicle because the winning bidder did not give me the deposit or even come to look at the car. I am relisting this car again because the latest winning bidder did leave a deposit this time, but has not come for the car. Per the terms of the sale, after 15 days the deposit is non-refundable and I relist the car. Runs and drives excellent! Don't let the mileage fool you. Motor is responsive, quiet - no leaks or smoking. Strong tranny. Highway driven. Clean body. Only some very minor scratches and a bumper chip. Interior is in excellent condition, only needing a minor cleanup. Tires and brakes are excellent. Aluminum wheels. New battery and fuel pump. Car is going to the highest bidder! No Reserve! No Buy It Now! Vehicle has a unique problem. My mechanic has indicated a possible problem in the fuse box. As you can see, a white wire with a fuse in it is connected to a 15 ampere fuse on one end, and the power line on the other. With this hook up the car will not shut off unless you unplug the fuse in the white wire (even with the key in the off position). To start the car you must plug fuse into the white wire, and turn key to start. Don't ask me why. If you are not mechanically inclined you probably shouldn't bid. You can drive it home - but no guarantees. Always have a "plan B" just in case. We have been using it locally with no problem. Everything seems to work properly (horn, wipers, lights, windows etc.). Car was recently inspected. The "Service Engine" light is on as opposed to the "Check Engine" light which is not on. ABS light is on, but brakes are fine. One of the ABS wheel sensors is broken (minor repair). Since the battery was recently replaced the onboard computer monitors are not ready for NY State's strict inspection standards. Car is being sold in "As Is" condition and NY residents are not able to bid or buy since the car needs to be driven maybe 100's of miles to reset the computer monitors. New York residents are unable to bid or buy unless they are a registered car dealer, registering/re-titling the vehicle out of state or are using it for “Parts Only”. As a registered NY State dealer I am unable to sell a car that won’t pass inspection to a NY State resident. Anyone else can bid and buy. Sorry, I don’t make the rules but as a used car dealer I must abide by them. Any questions call 516-228-1016. Please don’t wait until the last few hours to contact me. I will pick you up at the train or bus station. Winning bidder please leave a $200.00 deposit in PayPal within 48 hours of the auction close. If I don't receive the deposit within the 48 hours I will relist the car. Please plan on picking this vehicle up within 15 days of the auction close unless you have made prior arrangements with me before bidding. If the vehicle is left after 15 days your deposit becomes non-refundable and I will relist the vehicle. If you pay for the vehicle in full please pick it up within 1 month of the auction close or I will relist it. I will keep the deposit for storage. If you are not happy after the test drive and examination of this vehicle, I will cancel the sale and refund your deposit. Good luck and thanks for looking!
