This is a 1953 Chevy, FIVE WINDOW pickup ( last year of split windshield).I believe in Dallas Tx. for it's entire life. Mechanically it has a '54 235 six cylinder engine, with App. 5000 miles since complete rebuild. It has a four speed trans. on the floor and has been converted to a 12 volt system with alternator. It starts quickly, runs strong, holds good oil pressure (30 - 45#) and doesn't burn any oil. The truck had a frame-off restoration about 12 years ago. It had a new wireing harness, new brake components and lines, new gas lines and all rust issues were taken care of, everything underneath was replaced or restored with rust preventing primer and paint. Cosmetically the interior is in great shape, as the pictures show. All rubber seals,etc. were replaced, all lights and instruments were redone and work well, all glass is in good condition. Everything was stripped, primed and painted. Seats were redone and door panels/headliner were replaced. The truck has been used for local errands and pleasure driving over the past 12 years, and has minor scratches and dings.To make this a show quality truck they would have to be corrected and a fresh coat of paint added. Everything works with two exceptions, the radio comes on, but only with static, and the windshield wiper motor runs (converted to electric) but the wipers only move a little, I think a linkage has come loose or off. I have an owners manual, a repair manual, and some extra oil filters that will come with the truck. I also have a complete album of the frame-off restoration pictures, from start to finish, that the new owner can have. The truck is in Dallas Tx. and can be seen or driven there.
