Anderson1951 Store 1965 Ford Thunderbird Convertible project car for restoration. Burgundy exterior with off white interior. The engine is strong and starts easily with no smoke from the tailpipe if driven frequently. If it sits for days, it will throw a little smoke on startup which then goes away. Trans shifts fine but the brakes are tender sometimes. Interior is fairly clean and intact and it comes with a set of front new aftermarket door panels which will need the trims switched and installation. Needs window switches and a couple of the motors won't work. The listed mileage is approximate and probably has turned over. Working AM-FM radio with media player jack that was hooked up to a pair of external speakers placed behind the seats. Couple of seam splits on the side drivers seat upholstrey and a wear spot on the rear seat armrest. Rest of the rear seat is ok just in need of vinyl paint re-dye. Carpet and canvas top should be replaced. The top mechanism is all there but it won't go up with the switch and the rear deck lid does not fully close. I just lifted the top into position manually. Although there does not appear to be much prior body repair, there is rust in the lower hind quarters, rockers and below the seats. I have removed the repair panels from a rust free donor car for repair and they are included with the car or I can be hired to replace them before shipment for a fee and, for show, the paint should be redone. All in all a fairly straight car in need of restoration.
