Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 You are looking at a 1994 Ford Thunderbird SC 5spd. This color with a manual transmission and grey leather is rare. I have never seen another car like mine on the road. Plenty of automatics but no manuals. There were less than 1000 of these made with a manual transmission in 1994. This year was special in that the engines were upgraded and produced more power over the proceeding years. You will not find a nicer Thunderbird SC than this one right here. Comes with two remotes and keys. Has the upgraded JBL audio system. I have always run BP (yes I know, that BP) 93 premium from the same station. When I first bought the car it had not been driven vary often in the year prior. It would slightly ping at maximum throttle. I got to reading on the Super coupe forum and they stated it could be any one of several sensors. I decided I did not want to waste time chasing sensor issues so I just replaced them all. The rear shocks were worn out. As you know the car has the automatic suspension that can be manually set to firm. Ford does not sell the Illumina replacement shocks and the ones you can buy that still exist via aftermarket cost a kidney and maybe an arm. I did some research and realized the 03 Mustang Cobra convertible has the same shock dimensions for its IRS that the SC does. I had Ford order two and they installed them. Bang, perfect ride and handling again. The front shocks work great on automatic and firm. The rear actuators are de-activated as they are no longer needed. Anyone who has Bilstein HD shocks knows what a dramatic improvement they make. They are what I install on my BMWs. Good Things - Paint is gorgeous. Other than a few small pin sized chips in the front bumper where rocks hit from going down the interstate the paint is incredible. There are no dings that I can find anywhere. You will not find a Super Coupe with better paint. Period. - Car is stored indoors in a climate controlled garage. It is not driven in rain or bad weather. - Car handles phenomenally. I would not think a large 2 door coupe could go around curves like this. There is no play in the steering whatsoever. I love how razor sharp the response is. - Windows, Moon roof and all electronics function perfectly.CD Changer in trunk. - The most important thing about a SC is the engine. It pulls like a freight train. The boost comes on strong. No BS. No Smoke. No pinging. Just pure power. No issues period. I took care of anything and everything when it was bought. \ - I believe I am the fourth owner. Two and Three were a father/son. This is a southern car. Cars love it down here. There is absolutely no rust anywhere or even corrosion anywhere. See pics and you will understand. In last 2k miles. - New Alignment ( At Fairway Ford) - New TPS Sensor - New Mass Air Sensor - New Barometric Pressure Sensor - New Engine Mounts ( At Fairway Ford) - New Water Pump - no overheat just to fix a leak (At Fairway Ford) - New Thermostat - since we were in there already (At Fairway Ford) - New Coolant - (At Fairway Ford) - New lighting fixtures on front (replace previous hazy lenses) - Cross Drilled Brakes (will throw you thru the windshield - 2003 Rear Cobra Bilstein Shocks (At Fairway Ford) (see photo) - A/C refrigerant checked at Ford and no service was needed. Did not even need to fill it up. Blows ice cold. Has always blown ice cold. - New Rear Suspension Bushings (At Fairway Ford) - Things that need attention - Front tires are slightly cupped resulting in a vibration above 70mph. The vibration is not bad but if I were going to keep it I would consider replacing the tires. The previous owner let it sit for a long time which kind of flat spotted the tires and in combination the alignment was slightly off when I got it. The tires have a ton of tread so it is a shame but they probably should be replaced. None, I repeat none of the wheels are bent. that's it. If you can find a nicer SC please let me know. I think this is an excellent example. Take a look at the pics and please let me know if you have any questions. $500 deposit due within 24hrs via paypal, cashier's check or cash.
