I am selling my 1996 Volkswagen Jetta GLS. It has a 5spd manual transmission and 196,995 miles on it. It’s loaded with heated seats and a moon roof. In December the axle broke on me and I hit a curb, that is why the front fender in damaged in picture and has one steel rim. Many parts have been replaced on passenger side such as the front axle, cv joint, and tie rod. It can be driven (only to be moved, it definitely should NOT be driven on the road!), however there are two problems. 1.) It feels like something is holding it back perhaps a brake is locked up but I do not know. 2.) In the picture you can see the back wheel is sitting back farther than it should be and I am not sure what needs to be replaced to fix that. Perhaps the rear axle is damaged as well. Overall, the car is in good shape. The front bumper is pulling away a bit on the passenger side that can be seen it the pictures. The paint has faded on the roof, front, and rear. The interior is in good shape and has no rips whatsoever. The rearview mirror is broken. The actual mileage is 196,995 on the car. The windshield has a crack in it as seen in the photos. There are some parts have been removed by myself. The headlights, tail lights, instrument cluster, and stereo have been removed. There are three Audi rims on the car presently and two in the trunk. The two in the trunk are damaged from being on the car when it hit the curb. They are all yours. Some random parts I still have are included such as the ones seen in the front passenger seat. Obviously, this car can only be used for parts at this point. I am starting the bidding at $250 and no reserve. The car must be picked up the weekend of the 17th (the weekend after the auction ends). It will have to be towed. I never had any engine issues with this car in the five years I drove it. It was always reliable. If you have any questions, please email me.
