1982 Mercedes Benz 230e.   Listed as 1980 because Ebay will not accept the VIN because it is a gray market European import.  It is a 1982. -Runs great -145K miles. 123 bodied 4 cyl gas engine and 4 speed manual trans. Similar injected engine as 190e, Bosch K-Jetronic.  -Gray market car, not sold in the US. In good condition. Nice interior. European market light tan seats are part cloth, part MBtex. Has European headlights and bumpers.  -Body is in good condition except for some rust in the rear of the car (under left tail light and lower rear quarter panels, also LF corner behind bumper - see video).   Some sections of the car have been    repainted at some point.  Overall it's very presentable and drivable.  Floors and rocker panels are very solid.-Interior is in good condition with only one small (1/2") tear in back seat.  Dash and carpet are in good condition.  Seats and carpet would look almost new with a good shampoo, currently there are a few  light stains.-I have owned it for 7-8 years but only driven it 4-5000 total miles during summers.  -The following has been done since I got the car: engine rebuilt (rings, bearings, chain, guides etc.) new clutch disk, new fuel pump and warm-up regulator, new battery, gas tank cleaned and sealed,  radiator cleaned and tested, new brake master cylinder.   I recently removed the catalytic converter because it was coming apart inside.  This car would not have originally been equipped with a converter. -Power sunroof works perfectly.  Has manual windows.  Original Becker Europa radio/tape player works.  Power locks not currently working.  Lights and gauges work (fuel gauge bounces around  sometimes).
