Vehicle Detail

I am relisting this truck because in the last auction the high bidder retracted their bid just before the auction closed. Actually the 15year old kid from Italy's mother retracted his bid. Up for auction is my hotrod truck. The truck was profesionally built, it is not one of those poor quality builds some of you may have seen. This truck started life as a '46 Ford 1/2ton pickup, it has since been heavily modified into what you see here. The cab has been chopped 7 inches, but not channeled. You sit inside it like you would in a normal car, there is plenty of room, AND it has bucket seats that are quite comfortable. Not one of those rides where you have to sit on the floor and still hit your head on the roof. Inside the cab the dash has been smoothed, and an instrument cluster from a '50 chevy fleetline was grafted in. Key, pushbutton start, and all vital guages are mounted above the windshield. The floor has been covered in aluminum diamond plate. The roof and behind the seats was left raw so you can see the work that went into the chop. The windshield is made of REAL safety glass with a smoke tint. No cheap plexi/lexan here. The box has been shortened to 4'9". The tailgate has louvers, the Ford script has been flipped, and Ford 'shoebox' tail lights with blue dots have been installed. There is no floor inside the bed, this truck was only made for hauling one thing. A custom built aluminum fuel cell rides in the box, it holds about 19 gallons. The grill and headlights are from a '34 Plymouth. The headlights house vintage Electolight sealed beam headlight conversion kits, also the marker lights are hidden inside the headllight buckets. Inside the grill is an aluminum radiator sufficient enough to cool the engine. The whole truck rides on a professionally build 100% custom frame. The frame has an 8" kickup in the front, and a radical 18" kickup in the rear, giving this truck a bitch'in low profile yet still allowing it to have good ground clearence. Actually, the truck has 7" of ground clearence. I have never bottomed out while driving this truck. Cowl steering points this truck where you wanna go. The front suspension is a traverse leaf hairpin setup, utilizing the stock '46 Ford axle and 11" drum brakes. The rear suspension is a coil sprung "truck arm suspension", this gives it a super hard grip on take-off. The rear axle is a Ford 9" with limited slip and 4:10 gears. The front rolls on 19" Model AA rims wrapped in brand new 550-19 bias ply rubber, the rear rolls on 16" steelies wrapped in bias ply 7.50-16s. All brake lines are stainless steel, all brake hoses are brand new, and the dual resivior is also brand new. Powering the truck is a chevy 454, topped with a 396 intake with Edlebrock 4bll, and a vintage Mallory dual points dist packed with a Petronix Ignitor II kit. The truck sports custom headers with glasspacks built in. Fuel is fed be an electric pump through copper lines. Caddilac 331 script valve covers have been grafted onto the 454, and a Caddy Sombrero covers the carb. Backing the engine is a TH400, with aluminum lines plumbed to a remote aluminum trans cooler located in the box of the truck. Both motor and tranny are in tip top condition, with low miles. The truck is completly wired and has a fuse block. It has high beams(w/high beam indicator), low beams, stop, and tail. No turn signals, as trucks of this vintage legally do not need them(atleast in NY state) The truck is licensed and inspected legally by New York State. This truck does not have a title as NY does not require titles for vehicles this old. The registration doubles as the title/proof of ownership. Please note: this truck is a DRIVER, not a boring billet clad street rod trailer queen. The truck was designed and built to be drivin, and enjoyed. Ive put several thousand miles on this truck with no issues. The body work is not perfect and there are some small chips in the paint, but with a ride like this who cares? I have described it the best way i can, hopefully the pictures will do the rest. I can be contacted at my shop (315)827-4008 between the hours of 9-4pm EST, ask for Joe Jr, Please do not offer any trades, Unless its an early '50s Desoto!
