This is my second Boxster, having started with a 1999 986 then upgrading to this two years ago to partake in some of the driving schools here in Michigan and Ohio. I can't say enough about the thrill of taking this car to a closed track, putting on a helmet, strapping on the second set of 18' optional Porsche rears (included) and seeing exactly what it's like to have your driving skills be the only thing slowing you down. This car has been inspected by the dealership and also inspected track certified. (Break fluid, oil, breaks, shocks, suspension, exhaust, tire wear, etc) Regular maintenance always on time and performed by the dealership. All manuals, original paperwork are included as well as the front boot spare tire, air compressor, emergency fuel canister, and accessories. The outside is flawless and no one over 150lbs has ever sat in any of the seats. Included are two programmed keys which have been upgraded to the newer 06 and later models of Porsche. The care was kept in heated storage between November and April and started every couple weeks. (Again, spare battery helps with storage and is included) Wear and tear: There are some scratches on the underside of the drivers' mirror that came with the car. Not sure how they got there and they are near invisible except when you're washing the mirror yourself and look underneath. That's how I discovered them. The door sill passenger side (only visible when the door is open) have some wear from the previous owner, I believe they had heels or some other foot wear that marked up the plastic getting in and out. Nothing else to report to my knowledge. Tires are new this season front and rear with about 5k miles on them and the original set of tires are also included which have about 50% life left on them. They were swapped out and put in storage as soon as I purchased the vehicle preferring a softer, more easier wear tire. In February, someone decided any car with an In-Dash DVD player must also have DVD’s laying about and tried to cut the top open. Of course, the alarm stopped that fairly quickly. Either case, you get a brand new top in this auction installed at the dealership. Also, at my own discretion I decided to pass on this car with a brand new factory front bumper cover that was installed two weeks ago. I remember what it was like to receive this car in mint condition and drive it back from Florida from a great Boxster dealer who went out of his way to ensure I had the best possible Porsche experience as its new owner.
